Calpe town itself has 13,000 inhabitants and lies between Altea to the South and Javea to the North on the Costa Blanca. It is 24km from Benidorm (a 23 minute drive) and 62km from Alicante (a 46 minute drive) which provides its closest airport.
The N-332 from Alicante is the perfect drive to get to Calpe to give you that holiday feeling as it leads up the coastline and towards the famous Penon de Ifach rock that Calpe’s landscape is known for.
The ‘Penon de Ifach,’ a huge calcareous rock, 332 metres high, rises from the sea and dominates the skyline, it is the origins of the town’s name and is an official Nature Reserve, thanks to its botanical and faunal diversity. Visitors can take guided tours up to the rock’s peak to enjoy the most magnificent of views stretching from Calpe itself to as far as the eye can see.

The outdoor sports lovers can climb the Rock of Ifach or go potholing in the ‘Barranco del Mascarat’ and the Oltá Mountain.
