Where To Go And What To Do In Malta

When you plan your holiday to Malta you will want to visit some of the popular areas where the fun and excitement is going on. Gozo is one of those areas. Calypso Cave is a great place to see. The caves are remarkable. It just amazes one to see how they look as well as the depth of them. Rumor has it that the nymph Calypso held her captive Odysseus in this cave. You can easily spend a half a day enjoying the beauty of the caves. The Ggantija Temple is another interesting place to visit. The architecture is amazing to see.

Some religious sites are just as beautiful to see. The St. George's Basilica and the Megalithic Temples are something to see. Holidays to Malta in the area of Gozo are interesting with all the things to do. You can visit the Gharb Folklore Museum. It is an interesting museum with many exhibits to view. You can spend the entire day just walking around looking at everything the museum has to see. Two other places to visit are Hondoq Bay and Ta' Cenc. Ta' Cenc is a formation that is somewhat intriguing. If you like the outdoors, you will enjoy visiting these two places.

The Mediterranean Sea is a great place to go swimming or just sit on the beach and feel the warmth of the sun. Every now and then, you will feel a warm breeze come from the sea that gives you a sense of peace. Swimming and scuba diving are some popular things to do. Windsurfing is another activity, but the best part of your holiday to Malta will be all the attractions and scenery you can see. You can also enjoy some great nighttime activities. The restaurants are also very interesting. The restaurants serve different cuisine from the area and from other countries.

If you want to do some hiking for your holiday to Malta, you can visit the Dwejra Point and Dwejra Bay. You will need to wear some comfortable and sturdy shoes, but you can see the Azure Window, Blue Hole, Fungus Rock and the Island Sea. The Fungus Rock is something of amazement. The fungus that grows on the rock is said to have medicinal purposes. It is surely something you will want to see. You can also visit Island Sea, which runs through a narrow tunnel in the cliffs to the Mediterranean Sea. There are boat trips available on non-windy days that take you through the tunnels as well as to see Fungus Rock and the Azure Window.

When you visit the Azure Window, you will see where the rough sea made a hole in the rock formation creating the window. If you visit on a day when the waves are crashing on shore, you will see a beautiful picture. You will enjoy your holiday to Malta. You will want to capture everything on video or camera to share with all your family and friends.
