Recently, we have seen the emergence of a fairly new type of sauna. The Far infrared heater is what heats this new sauna instead of the traditional wood or electric stove. Saunas with infrared heaters work differently than traditional saunas. While in a traditional sauna, the air is heated, infrared heaters only heat the material and people in the sauna. Due to the air not being heated, Far infrared heaters are usable anywhere, indoors or out, while maintaining its warming effect on people. The enclosure is made to give the sauna an indoor atmosphere. The term infrared means a frequency band of light unseen by the human eye. The type of heat generated by these units is commonly known as Infrared Radiation (IR). (IR) or radiation of Far Infrared (FIR or Far Infrared Radiation)Ultraviolet Radiation, which can cause sunburn or dangerous Atomic radiation, is completely different than Infrared, which is completely safe. IR from the sun is what generally warms the earth. Both the earth and the human body give off IR. Advocates of Far infrared saunas claim they possess even greater healing benefits than traditional saunas. The Health Benefits The health benefits of using traditional saunas include relieving discomfort and feelings of stiffness caused by arthritis, as well as deep cleaning the skin through intense perspiration. Also, steam given off by traditional saunas may be beneficial in alleviating respiratory issues like congestion or bronchitis. They do not help to relieve breathing problems as well because there is no steam generated with an infrared sauna. If you take a look at the products that help you releive arthritis pain, you will notice that they are about the same as your traditional sauna. One good thing about this type of sauna is that it uses Infrared Radiation. This has been reported to have a one of a kind healing quality. The radiant heat of conventional saunas does not offer this. People who support FIR believe that it goes deeply into your internal organs and muscle tissue. When it does this, it releases toxins. It also helps boost your immune system. Of course, some of the claims may not be entirely proven. Even though the research as to the benefits are limited, there are many testimonials to their favor. Certain medical conditions undoubtedly benefit from sauna therapy. Infrared saunas has benefits that traditional saunas do not have. Over steam, or conventional saunas, infrared has a number of advantages. Some people find these to be more comfortable than the traditional sauna because they work at a lower heating level. IR saunas are cost-efficient due the ability that allows them to use lower temperatures which in the end uses less electricity. These saunas heat up much more quickly than conventional ones. This is one of the reasons that they are able to reduce their operating costs. Traditional saunas produce arid, hot air that is difficult for certain individual's respiration. With the IR sauna, the quality of the air will be the same outside as well as inside because the air is not heated by them. Infrared saunas do not utilize H2O. The installation is made easier and more portable, eliminating bacterial build up in the moist areas. IR saunas have some disadvantages, though, as many people don't think they are as relaxing as regular saunas. IR saunas typically do not use steam, which may prove beneficial or detrimental depending on your perspective. Breathing the sauna's typically dry air is not comfortable for some people, however steam can be useful for relieving respiratory difficulties. A connoisseur of saunas might not consider IR saunas to be true saunas. Far Infrared saunas seem to lack a certain quality for people who enjoy preparing for a conventional sauna. Infrared and Conventional saunas both have their own unique benefits. Saunas can relax your whole body and make your skin feel clean, fresh and smooth. Although it has not been scientificaly proven beyond any doubt as a useful treatment, many swear by its therapeutic qualities. While IR therapy has many benefits, some claims made by infrared saunas may be medically impossible. Even without additional benefits, a sauna session is an enjoyable, relaxing release from the stress of the day. Conventional saunas don't have the advantages of far inrared saunas in that they are not easier or cheaper and they don't offer the potential additional health benefits. These are excellent reasons to give them a try.
