1)Clear your outside space Clear out the outside space and maximise the area by pruning back any out of control area’s, ensure that if your prospective purchasers arrive, the drive way is empty of any children’s toys, cars, gardening waste, bulk waste and rubbish bags. You may be having a clear out as you are moving but prospective buyers don’t need to see it. It is mostly the men who recognise how easily maintained the garden space is and having an unkempt or overgrown garden can really effect the chance of a sale. 2)Add some colour Where you can, make your garden seem appealing by adding some flowers. A simple technique is to use a set of pots or maybe a hanging basket and plant colourful beautiful flowers and for the next few months it will be appealing. Do not use heavily scented plants as this can be quite personal and the wrong flower could leave a negative lasting impression. A bonus point of pots or baskets is they are usually relatively inexpensive and you can always move them with you to a new property. 3)edging the boundary The border of your garden should be kept well depending upon the type of space you have. If your house has only a small amount of outside space, camouflaging the boundaries with some potted plants but not too large can make an improvement and in some cases painting the walls a lighter colour. It can brighten the look of your home, but ensure the colour is light and works well with the rest of the property’s overall look. If you have a fairly big garden, point out the size, with clearly defined edging making sure that all fencing is well repaired and freshly painted or any brickwork is perfect. 4)The entertainment space If you have a well maintained clearly defined back garden space, use it to your advantage by creating a scene. Have a well maintained and stylish barbeque displayed with chair and tables, as if you use the space to entertain and relax frequently, even if this is not something you would do most likely purchasers can be sold by the idea of something rather than the reality. If you have the benefit of sunshine, maximise the effect by offering refreshment when they reach the back garden and invite them to sit and make themselves at home. 5)Water features If the opportunity is there and you have the funding then give the garden something special by purchasing a self contained water feature that is both beautiful and compliant for children, it can make the unforgettable feature that means your property streaks ahead of the others in the same price range.
